Just wondering if anyone has used Restomod AC systems. I'm looking to put air in my truck, and they have a system small enough to fit.

I, too, would like to hear any thoughts on Restomod Air. They certainly have some cool stuff on their website. Haven't found much feedback (pro or con) on the pro-touring sites.

Restomod Air is a subsidiary of Classic Auto Air and both work out of the same location in Coppell, TX. Restomod targets a trendier market with a lot of blingy accessories but the equipment behind the bling is Classic Auto Air. IMO, Classic Auto Air makes some very nice AC equipment and I actually prefer them over Vintage Air.

I can certainly vouch for Classic Auto Air's set up. Have it in my 1971 Camaro. Freaking thing blows 36° air out the vents and the compressor consumes so little power you don't even know it's on.
If you have a late 80's early 90's Gen I SBC serpentine system like I do, simply order the system less the compressor, and then go get a Sanden FLX7 model 4864. They have adapter kits that can mount the compressor to serpentine brackets. The FLX7 is a 7 piston compressor (as opposed to the 5 piston 508 model that's more typical for aftermarket systems). But it takes the same 24 oz of refrigerant.
I was originally running the GM R4 compressor since I didn't know about the adapter kit for the Sanden. The R4 was a turd... bogged down the engine and the best I could get out of it was ~43° air through the vents.
One thing I HAVE noticed is that they are awful about answering questions. I posted a question in July ON THE RESTOMOD AIR WEBSITE (about Membrane) and still no answer. On their own website! Makes me very leery about purchasing from them, even though they appear to have very nice stuff.
I use their telephone. They always answer it. Great group of folks. Have three of their units and they work like a like a champ. I even bought a used system and they helped me get the extra parts I needed that I didn't get with the unit when I bought it off CL. Super support.
Yes give them a call.
Wow, why's the Restomod Air kit for a 68 Camaro $500 more than the Classic Auto Air kit??
It's pretty obvious that they are trying to position RestoMod Air as an upscale aftermarket AC solution. Kinda like Cadillac is the upscale brand of GM or Lincoln the upscale brand of Ford. Nothing wrong with an upscale brand if you're into that. Just be an educated consumer which ever brand you buy.
We do not install but we locations of dealers that can.
What is your question about Membrane?
Membrane is the only true Thermal Insulator and sound deadener for custom car builders. And with the 2 in 1 Design there is an added Sound Dampening layer.
Each box contains 9 sheets of 18″ X 31.5″ 36 sq ft
The top layer is foil for durability after the insulation. the second layer two is a close cell insulation foam rubber for thermal protection, layer three is another foil layer for structural integrity between the two substrates and layer four is the butyl layer for sound dampening commonly found on the “other”guys product.

Hummm. You are local. Might have to check this out
I installed a restomod air system. Quality stuff.
I used the membrane on my camaro roof when I put a TMI headliner. Worked well.
Would definitely recommend. High air flow and easy to install
2017 thanks you :wtlw:
