Any updates Larry ??
Smoothing the new oil pan before I install the baffles and install it
These are so cool! I ordered a number of pre-printed wires from Ron Francis Wiring and it arrived today. Along with everything else you could possibly need they also sell stuff to make your life easier. These are only a few of the printed wires they sell. I ordered them for all four windows, power door locks, trunk release, backup lights, accessory lighting, air conditioning and more.

Larry any pictures of after the oil pan was tumbled?
Nice to have access to all the cool toys! I'd like to see how it looks too. Larry are you painting the block or clear coating it to make it easier to keep clean? I'm thinking of doing mine in clear. I never noticed how rough the block is on an LS before.
I will post pictures of it soon. I thought about clear coating the block but thought I would be nuts for doing it. Maybe it's not such a crazy idea?
They are ceramic triangles with an abrasive mixed in with it. It took a total of 3 hours and really I should have left it maybe another hour and I think I will do that on Monday and then show everyone what it did. I now wish I has shown it before. It was really rough and my Nephew cut himself on it twice while I was removing everything from it to prepare for deburring.
I'm looking forward to having a decent stereo in MotiV8r. I've owned it for almost 30 years and in all that time it has never had working radio in it. I know I know, the sound of the engine should be all you need but you have to admit that after a few hours some tunes would really be nice. The many of the other features of the Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX will be nice as well. Navigation, Pandora, backup camera, hands free calls, voice commands, tire pressure monitoring and a capacitive touch screen will be nice as well.

MotiV8tr will be styling with that in her.
Do you have access to a vibrating bin big enough for a cylinder block?:naughty:
Ken
I never realized how rough the casting is on the outside of an LS block!
Here is a slightly longer oil pan video showing the end results
Larry,
Question on the rear end. Since you sent it back to Moser did you give any consideration to converting it to a floater since it will have to be cut anyway? A 12 bolt floater would be pretty unique since most of them are based on 9" housings.
Good stuff Larry, it's always cool to see a well built car get changes down the road.
