Such an incredible car.

Put the car on the pro-form scales today. It looks like all of the weight savings between the aluminum engine, bumper mounts, 9” rear and RMS coil over suspension shaved off 300 lbs from the factory weight of a hemi 4 speed car. This is amazing considering all of the additional unibody reinforcements I made to the car. My car is 3/4 full of fuel and weighs 3664 lbs. Specs I find online for a factory hemi 4-speed, Dana car comes in at 3974 lbs. That is awesome considering I was shooting for about 200 lbs lighter! The other cool thing is that it’s a bit better than a 45/55 split.
Thanks
Pat

Very good results. That's a large car to be that light with all the accessories inside. :)
I'd love to scale my car some day... dumb question Pat, but how much air are you running in your tires front and rear? What sizes are the tires again?
Wonderful video!
Is there a speed limit on the driveway? :) I was expecting a little more noise. It's great to see both of them together. :)
Oh man that is so cool! And BOTH look and sound great!
You just got it the wrong way round- isn’t the Stang always supposed to be in front?? ;)
Picked up the next car a 1966 Pontiac GTO a few weeks ago in Minnesota. Original paint, chrome, interior, engine, trans, and rear! Unmolested 61,000 mile surviver. Car only had 16000 miles in 2002. Amazing documentation from all 3 owners.
No restoration for this car just paint correction cleaning and detailing preservation!
Drove it 1200 mile back home, used/ leaked 1/2 qt of oil. Ran great and made about 13+ mpg.
Thanks

Wow, that's a good story. Glad to hear it made the trip... "uneventful".
My all time favorite year and make. Looking forward to watching this unfold.
I say that, but will you have a thread? Granted, not as epic as the Charger, but would still love to follow along.
Ok. What's the plan? :) You're not going to leave the drivetrain alone, are you?
Making progress on the new shop. All the electrical work is complete just waiting for BG&E our local power company to hook up the meter. I was concerned that the slab was a little thin for the two post lift so I opted to cut two 4’x 4’ holes and had two 5’x 5’x 14” slabs poured. Also insulated both of the 12’ x 12’ doors. Cabinets and lift will be here first of the year.
Thanks

Very nice!
Jealous. Looking awesome
Did you glue styrofoam to the doors or get premade panels? I'm assuming you put led lights up. It's going to be very good to work in. :)
Thanks, looking forward to getting it all put together where I can actually work on a car not work on the garage;-)

Thanks, It’s been a long time coming I’ve been looking at this property for a long time can’t believe it’s just about done!
The panels are Styrofoam but they have a vinyl outer coating that is easy to wash and holds up to the UV. You have to cut to fit. Yes all of the overhead light panels are LED and I think it’s gonna look like an operating room so I put each row on its own switch;-)
thank you!
