I like my falkens RT615ks I bought them when they were cheap. HAHA.
The Dunlop Star Spec ZII or the BFG Rival seem to be the fastest. The RT615ks are fast too. The Dunlop is directional, but symmetric, so you can flip them on the rims and rotate left to right if you blow out the outside corners. The Falkens and RFG's are not directional, but have an outside and an inside, so if you wear out the outside corners the tire is done.
What ever you do, make sure to get 200+ TW tires. If you get lower tread wear, you are stuck in the fun run group at GoodGuys and most of the Pro-touring type events.
Craig,
What brand & size are you running?
I'll be running SCCA this Sunday in Oakland.
I use Toyo 888 - in Canada, Toyo has an amazing racer program - I assume you'd have the same or similar in the USA - the savings per tire is between 40-50% when you sign up. Just make sure you keep your me member number on you - the dealers want a hard copy as proof.
Hankook V12 were good tires. From the reviews....BFG RIVALS
