Coil over recommendation

After an eternity I am soon to finally assemble the front end in my 69 Camaro. Looking for recommendations on front coil overs, spring rate etc to suit stock subframe, Hotchkis upper & lower control arms. Will only be used for street duties, no auto cross. I currently have QA1 adjustable shocks and 2 inch Hotchkis lowered springs I’d bought long ago but seems coil overs are the go these days and I like the idea of being able to set the ride height to set the right stance. Engine is an LS3 with A/C, power steer.

Coilovers are over rated imho. I’d run the springs and coils.

I totally agree. Unless your subframe and lower control arms are specifically designed for true coilovers, stick with regular coils and good adjustable shocks.

If you search on here you'll find plenty of examples of various component failures with the 'retrofit' tapered spring type coilovers designed for stock subframes/control arms. Long story short, they're more trouble than they're worth imho.

What you have should work just fine. You can cut the coils a little if needed or add spacers in the lower spring pocket to get the ride height perfect if necessary.

Personally I'd look at Ridetech coilovers and strong arms. If pushing it to the limits the bolt on rear subframe that swaps from leafs to coilovers us a great upgrade to a 4 link system.
