Thanks man!
I must have been tired last night, figured it out real quick today haha..
No problem that’s why we’re all here, brothers in the hobby.
Have similar parts in current build, intercooler and pump set up, what kind of IAT are you seeing, the entropy cooler with twin 11inch spal fans do great N/A, but yet to finish build. I stacked the CR intercooler as instructions state sandwiched between Vintage air and Rad then trans and pwr steering up front vs independently mounting heat exchanger forward with dedicated pusher fans of their own.
It's still not on the road, I wish I had the info you need.
What suggestions do you fellas have for an expansion tank and location?
In my experience these systems take some effort to fill to get all the air out. I use a vacuum filler. Keep the tank as high as possible.
Guys like to run huge tanks but I see no benefit unless you are drag racing. Steady state temperature is determined by the exchangers, air flow and ambient temperature etc. A large tank just delays steady state. No tanks on the CTS-V and ZL1. Just a high mounted fill cap.

I was in the process of fabbing up similar remote reservoir myself and decided to install a pair of cb900 raidators, right and left sides of lower valance openings instead. Why not have two smaller remote radiators to add capacity AND actually serve purpose to cool and forego reservoir all together, will incorporate high mount remote fill for obvious purposes.
Should compliment the C&R heat exchanger to keep them dang IATs at bay.
I made one to match the fender braces line

I wonder how much heating the coolant experiences with the tank under the hood versus down on the frame rail like the ZR1 where it sees ambient air temperature. I am guessing a fair bit since under hood air temperatures are quite high.
Don
High intake air temperatures might point to reservoir heating. If the car runs good it’s probably not worth worrying about. I just found it interesting that the ZR1 has it down on the frame in cooler air. I’ve never looked to see what Stielow is doing but it might be worth a look.

I was having trouble with my IAT's getting pretty hot when I first got my car going and all I had was the CTSV coolant filler with cap. I added an Edelbrock .75 Gallon reservoir and it dropped my coolant temps by about 20 degrees. Before I would be 30-40 degrees above ambient, and after I was about 10-20 degrees above. The reservoir was the only change.
Mark isn't using a tank on his newest build
Don, I'm using a PLM universal fit heat exchanger. I have it mounted very similarly to the C&R unit. Not sure what the dimensions of the C&R, but mine is 22" x 10.5" x 1.75". Judging by how it mounts to the car, I'm assuming it's probably more like 17-18" tall, but similar width. Also not sure about the thickness. Since I have an RS hood latch, I was limited by how tall I could go.
