I believe its rain or shine
If you click on the day, it says 40% chance during the day, and 40% for the evening. I dont know where they get 60% from that, but its a bit more promising :nopity:
The weather for Saturday keeps changing, now it says AM clouds/PM sun. 10% chance of precipitation during the day.
Rain or shine guys, we are all in. Knock on wood, I have not had a rain out yet just lost one drag race at RTTHs...lol
That is why we race our STREET CARS not our race cars. Real street cars have wipers and tires that handle wet pavement.
I will see everyone there!
I can't wait! Really looking forward to this!
Would not really mind a wet track he he...
as of now... high of 60, partly cloudy, 20% chance of rain :woot:
it's gonna be fine

You don't really think I would risk getting the Elky all wet and nasty do you. It is very hard to predict rain this far out. Hell, I believe it just snowed up there. See you guys later in the week.
I will see everyone there!
Not to be a downer but anyone notice Wednesday's weather? Would that cancel the event?
After doing 2 events in the rain, I'll be bringing my Magnum RT instead....
You're thinking smart, I recall seeing your Dart up at Monticello in the fall on that wet day... nice looking car. (and the green one too next to yours) I took the c5 that day and only went out for a few laps, started pouring again so I went home. Wet days at the track suck. I've seen guys do thousands in damage at 45 miles an hour, it's not worth the risk IMO. The chances of catching it once you get sideways or in the grass are slim.
If Saturday looks decent I'll bring the camaro, if it's a total wash out I'm not even going to bother coming down. Let's hope the weather improves! -Dan
well great....good words of encouragement here...lol. If it does rain I will take it out on the track...but just for a cruise.
"the chance of catching it if you get sideways are slim"???
Get loose (sideways) in the dry, you will usually scrub speed and drive off unless you panic and get on the brakes.... counter-steer, and you 'catch' the car and drive off, no harm no foul... do it in the wet and you are swapping ends, or off track, and if you are off track and not straight you won't likely regain control any time soon. 3500-4000lb cars don't slow down so well on wet grass.
Pardon my negative attitude on the rain... it just isn't fun no matter how you do it.. you get wet (open windows typically are required at most tracks), the interior gets wet, that makes me cold and grumpy! :(
The open window thing will be a bummer. Hope this can be waived.
