If you ever want to have people sit in the back seat, I would make it removable.
Andrew
Even if you don't plan on people in the back seat... if you ever want to work on the interior of the car again without cursing, make it removable.
Removable.
I did because my wife and I used the back seat once,I told her I was going to remove it and she said to keep it so we can use it more! ;)
I went removable on mine and really glad I did:

Removable is definitely the right choice unless you're doing a full on race car and it has to be welded.
I'm going to recommend a removable cross bar as well.
Both lol, weld it in solid ,then after the whole cage has been welded and cooled ,cut it out and, weld in the removable fittings .
I prefer the rigidity of the welded cross bar. Besides, the roll bar makes the rear seat pretty much useless anyway so I removed my seat. The weight of the roll bar was almost the same as the seat anyway.
Mine is removeable. I know what Ryan is referring to...that’s a must. Wish I knew that before hand.
Where can I find the removable fittings so the cross bar can be removed?
Thanks,
Mike
