Note: Due to a technical issue, PT Garages are presently view-only, meaning existing garages cannot be edited, and new garages cannot be created for the time being. We appreciate the irony that a website dedicated to old cars is having trouble due to a piece of software from 2012. In our defense, software rusts much faster than metal.
While we work on fixing and improving the system, we invite you to look through the nearly 400 garages that are already on the site (which can be searched using the "Search PT Garages" link above), and to check out the Project Updates and Multimedia & Photography forums for more great builds.
Originally a 301/auto car with only AC as an option. No t tops, small motor, manual windows and locks. I don't even think this TA had a bird on the hood. I bought this car as a project that was probably passed around all over the eastern US. Someone lost the title and I had a HECK of time getting a new one. I won't do that again.
Now has a hot SBC. This was supposed to be a quick toss-in-a-motor project to cruise in that is now in year 5 of me trying to do just that! It has been running and moving as of last summer (2014) and now is waiting for winter to end so I can reinstall the rebuilt tilt column. It also needs the seats finished up along with a bunch of other things I won't mention. Should be a fun car. Now I'm trying to decide what to do with it next. I have some 13" C5 brakes and Vette wheels to put on here. Trying to see if they should go on this car or use them on my 69 Camaro. Also same story with a t56 for either car.
The paint on the car stinks, but its mostly one color and not rotted to the door handles so I call it good for now. I want to restore the 69 before this one gets the full treatment. But for now its good. I may autocross this car as well. I have some Globalwest springs and QA1 shocks for it as well. Plus some better bushings to replace the stock ones.

Story / History
I figured after the engine was installed the front end would settle down and level out. But it didn't. The pic on the left has the engine installed. I removed the springs to find out the problem. The previous owner who put the springs in installed them upside down and sitting on the upper spring pocket instead of in it. I shortened them one coil and installed them correctly to look just right in the right side pic.
