I've never used any of them but I've looked at them out of curiousity. I have a 68 coupe I want to turn into a fastback.

The comparison pics on Mustangs to Fear's website make their kit look pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up and web link, I was looking at stang aholics.

i think the mustang coupe is way over looked, it makes a good shelby tribute, shelby had a 1967 GT 500 shelby coupe ( Lil Red) and a 1968 GT 500 shelby coupe (green hornet) and shelby also had a program in Mexico called the shelby de Mexico around 170 1967 (tel:170 1967) shelby GT 350 coupes and 200 1968 shelby GT 350 coupes made.

For a long time I hated the look of coupes. I've seen a couple in recent years that looked really good and the 68 I've got looks good despite it's condition lol. I like a challenge though and like body work, so since all the parts are reproduced now and it needs quarters, I'll hopefully someday get around to making it a fastback. I think I'll fab some "Eleanore" style parts out of metal though, rather than buying a fiberglass kit.

Love the coupes !
Building a wide body '68 Shelby look coupe now.

I had good luck actually just buying the front end parts from NPD. I don't know who made them for NPD but they looked like they'd been sitting on a shelf for awhile. Note they didn't have studs in the light buckets I had to fab that up. I originally bought some STangaholics buckets but for some reason they really didn't fit my car (stock buckets fit perfect). I sent them back and the guy showed me some photos of the same parts fitting perfectly on their Ford OEM fender, so I don't know what was up, but the NPD parts fit good. So despite my issue I can recommend either one of those places as they handled it well and the parts were good quality even if they didn't seem quite right on my car.

even though they are somewhat similar, I just think the '68 front end looks way way better than the '67 front end, and not being all one piece has some advantages as well.

You can try K.A.R. or Tony Branda, though I cannot truly recommend any of them, I can tell you that you'll be doing some modifications no matter who you buy from. None of the stuff is direct fit, no matter what they tell you.

I might recommend Tony Branda. I have a front GT350 race apron and it is ok. It might not fit perfectly, but it is symmetrical. Which for Fiberglass is pretty good, I suppose. It was better than some other Mustang fiberglass I've used.

I'm using the Stangaholic 68 GT500KR kit. Perfect fit, smooth as can be and every body guy that's seen it has been impressed. Also the headlight and taillight buckets are built in and they have light kits for bulbs and wiring. Great prices.

I'm using a Tony Branda '66 GT350 hood and rear seat delete package tray. The hood is the fiberglass skin with steel structure and came out really nice after paint. The hood comes with the fiberglass built up enough for sanding and painting while leaving a flush finish with the fenders. You will need to buy lightweight hood springs as the stock steel hood springs are too stiff and will crack your hood with time. The hood also doesn't come with the holes drilled in the front for the Shelby hold-down pin.

The rear seat delete package tray is the 66 GT350 model which features longitudinal ridges without the spare-tire mount and looks great. I installed this piece only to test-fit it and there weren't any issues.

If you can find these pieces at a local Mustang shop then go that route. Freight was brutal at around $125 per item to Tennessee; however, I'm far from any Mustang shops so I had no choice.

Cobra Automotive is awesome, especially for track items, but you will pay for it. Most of their parts have been developed in-house through extensive track testing, as they are very active in the Vintage Racing circuit with original Cobra's and GT350's. For most Mustang parts though, I've had nothing but great experiences with Virginia Classic Mustang.

Cheers!
Brent

Love the recommendations, based on my research, I will take a shot with stang a holics for my '68 fastback, Their parts have a metal backing and i heard a lot of positives on them, Thank you, brothers, Lou from Miami.
