Help us out with a budget, size and your car. Wheel choice is mostly about what strikes you as attractive. I don't agree w/ a lot of people's choice, but they probably don't agree with mine.

I agree, start with what you know - size, budget, what car they will mount on ...

Then it gives some guidelines to work within.

I bought Torq Thrust O's (17X8) and Goodyear Eagle GT's (245/45R17) due to a tight budget and no tubs. I like the retro look. I know a lot of members on the forum don't care for the dated 5-spoke look.

Used Corvette wheels can be had for a reasonable price.

i have a 76 camaro and i dont really have a budget just nothing outrageous like the forgeline wheels. even though they are the best if i had the money i wouldnt even think twice about getting forgelines

the size i would need would be 18x9's in the front and 19x10's in the rear

There are many wheel companies out there. You could search TireRack.com and others.. If they don't come in the right width you can have them widened :)

Who cares what you put on your car. The person only person you need to satify is yourself. Plus you can radically change the looks of a car ,just by changing the wheel/tire combination. good luck with your project.

You must have a budget or you wouldn't be ruling out Forgeline based on it's price. Just state what's the max you want to pay, it will only help your results. There are plenty of wheels out there just as expensive as Forgeline we could all recommend, so we need a price range

You are not going to to find much in a 19" wheel that isn't made for a european car or unless its a 2 piece custom. Are you looking for cast or billet?

We make lots of 19s and they look and fit great on many musclecars. I'm obviously biased but I think you should run Rushforth Wheels and your sizes are no problem.

Even better, you should use Google to search for wheel designs and images of a similar vehicle to see what works for you.

Depends. Your questions on here have been very vague, which is why you are getting the responses you are. My suggestion is to spend ALOT of time reading, searching to see what other guys are doing on your particular platform. Figure out about what you want, then ask questions. Wheels can be a big expense (if you buy the good stuff) so it's decision that should not be made on a whim. It would also help if you posted up a pic of what you will be putting them on.

In terms of weight and performance, wheels above 18" become very heavy with low profile sidewalls (which change the effective spring weight). There have been tests on various magazines of the effect of larger diameter wheels (and lower profile tires) and the effect on track time and also "feel".

Looks-wise, it is up to you personal taste for wheel size, but do what is right for you, not what everyone else is...

check out japanese work wheels, like meister s1r, 19x11.5 with a 5" lip is a max size without custom order, price is pretty good and quality in there
