I need the final word before pulling the trigger!, I will install DSE mini-tubs soon and would like to get the Ridetech 4-link rear suspension to replace the stock one. My goal to all that is to fit a 18X11 wheels with the BFG 335/30-18 KDW tires. I kept hearing a lot of debates on weather these tires would fit or not, I think the guys here at pro-touring forums would be the best to get the final word from. so the simple question is : will they fit?, and if not, what am I have to do to squeeze them in?
Edit : I will be using a stock width rear end.

I would be using the Rival tire if you haven't bought tires yet.

Look at syborg's second chance camaro build. He had offset arms that allowed a 335.

I already have the BFG KDW tires, but I'm curios about these tires, why u recommend then over the BFGs?
Honestly, I chose the BFGs just because they look cool!

One of the reasons that I put that question is because of this car, I've noticed that he wasn't able to fit the 335 tires and used the 295s instead.

They're not available yet in 335's but will be in a few weeks from TireRack.com!
They don't look as cool as the KDW's but they're still a BFG tire & perform great. I like KDW's myself, they're a great tire for the price.
Sorry, I don't have a final word for you. We did a 69 Camaro with 275's in back, looked like it could fit a 335 but with minimal clearances.
The RideTech 4 link will most definetely work with the DSE minitubs...we've done that combination several times. The 4 link cradle interfaces with the inner portion of teh rear framerail...the DSE tubs do not intrude into that area. The 335mm wide tire has also been used successfully with those tubs.

Do I need to do anything to the stock differential to get those 335 tires to fit? do I need to narrow it or change the location of the spring mount inwards?

kamaro -
I've got a 70 Firebird build in process that will have a 18x12 wheel with a 335 tire using the Ridetech 4 link and DSE minitubs. In order to get everything to fit and have the right stance on this car, several things had to be done. The rear axle had to be narrowed to fit the rear wheels that has 0 offset, IIRC. I think it went from the nominal 61" wide rear axle to either 56 - 57". I couldn't use the original rear leaf spring perches with the included Ridetech lower link mount to original leaf spring adaptor because the tire was going to hit the lower control arm. The forward leaf spring perch location on the body wasn't touched but we had to offset the lower link bar inboard to the perch by 3/4" by cutting the bar from the bolt location and re-welding it inboard. Ridetech lower control arm brackets were then aligned to the new forward location and welded onto the axle.

pass side view of lower link. I don't have a pic showing the forward mount inboard offset of the lower control arm.

I have sent two emails so far to
[email protected] with no reply, I wanted a quote for the shipping to Qatar. I will have a one week off after two weeks and I was hoping if there will be any chance that I can have the kit on that time so I can start working on the car. Can you please help me with that?
