Backing up?

Does anyone have a clue as to why, when I hit the back button, I have to hit it several times for it to work? Sometimes too, it takes forever? Just curious.

You're talking about in general, or here?

On other sites, I see a lot of cases where there's google or facebook tracking pages that are the initial "back", and you've got to go back twice to get past them. Here I haven't seen that so if you're talking here I don't know.

You may need to have a deep malware scan ran on your computer. There are a few that affect the browsers back functions. meant to keep you at a specific web site without you being allowed to go back too say google search or a previous page.
If you right click on back arrows it will let you see where to get back to were your wanting to go. Good luck.

It seems to be just on this site. Just did a malware scan yesterday, and still having the problem.

I didn't know you could do the right click thing!! I go back that way, it works like a charm, just hit the back button and it waits forever. Sometimes have to double click to get it do go...

I don't think it is a virus or worm or anything like that. It's caused by the Facebook interface. If you go to the little down arrow next to the "forward" button and click, it will show you the last couple of pages you were on. There you will see the facebook script it goes 'back to' before it goes back to the last page you were on. I just click on the page instead of the facebook script and it goes right away. This is confusing but try it. It happens to me on other sites too because my work blocks facebook and youtube. :(
