been searching but havent seen a lot on this topic.

do the frame to firewall and fender braces work well without stressing and or bending the mounting points? i ve seen them called y and g braces. its the herb adams design - dont know if herb designed them with the longevity of the car in mind.

I've been running pro-touring f-body g-braces in my 77 trans am with great results. There's really nothing to break or stress as long as your running solid aluminum body bushings. I have been doing allot of autocross and road racing and I've had no problems at all. I also drive the car around town and on trips with my wife and two kids in the back. The g-braces triangulate the front subframe so as to take stress off the 4 points where the subframe mounts to the body. This removes a ton of squeaks and rattles when cruising through the country. Hope that helps!

Got them on my car as well. Quite pleased w with them. The ones from pro touring f body fit nice. Enough room that you can pull a motor with them in place as I found out today.

Gotta say, I haven't tried that one yet. Nor do I want to. LOL
