Hi guys I'm hoping someone out there can advise me how to set up an alternator light in my 69 Camaro with a one wire alternator.. The car is running and charging the battery now I'm just wanting to make the idiot lights work properly. I've read a few different posts on the net and I'm more confused now than ever. Can I just put the light in the single wire or can I use one of the other prongs on the alternator that aren't being used.. Or is there another way entirely ?

Thanks guys. With your help I got the light to work. It's only a little thing but I like having the dash lights working correctly.

Is the light on when the alternator is charging or when it's not charging?
