My name is nick from corona ca, I have a 1966 SS hardtop nova. I work at Cbm Motorsports building all ls family motors. I'm addicted to hp!!!! The nova is currently stock I pulled the 327 and trans, already ordered a tci pro-touring front clip with ride tech coil overs and big willwoods. Plan to have it triple black on 18's all the way around with a twin turbo lsx 427. I'm stoked I found a cool forum to be a part of.

Start a build thread! Keep us updated on your progress :)
We live off of pictures so don't forget those.
By the way we've used many of your oddball billet parts on many LS engines ;)

Great job for the hobby you have. Or is it great hobby for the job you have?

What's the policy at the shop for you working on your own car?

It's a great job period. It's kinda hard to work on my own car at work as we are constantly super busy I've built 4 rhs 454 tt engines last week and dozens others we chassis dyno'd a sand rail with one of the 454tt's today it made 1038hp to the ground @15psi on pump gas no meth injection. Also engine dyno'd the same engine with a 4.0l whipple supercharger it made 1020hp at the crank... On pump gas as well lol I gotta say I love building these monsters

Ahh interesting, big block TT's, hmmm. Want to do a TT, though I think for a tourer, I want the power but also want mileage ,so a 383 or something. Iron block is obviously a better idea with a force induction system, high boost turbo's for example. but there is that weight penalty. Love to hear more about the builds.

Welcome Nick! Im new to the site as well and reside in Newport Beach. I just bought my brothers 70 Nova from him last month and looking to do a pro-touring build on it as well. As of now Im just trying to get it street ready so I can enjoy it for a while before I tear it apart. My first car was a '66 nova and had to sell it before college :( looking forward to following your build... the '66 is my favorite year nova.
