Could anyone tell me how many hours it should take to install a set upf mini tubs in a 67 firebird??? The car was Media blasted .There are new quarters, new roof ,new floor pans, new trunk pan,new sail panel. The inner and outer wheel houses where left out. The car is in primer and already on a rotisary.I want to run 19x12 rims with 345/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sports. I know there be some additional work on the frame rails so this set up will fit. I just really need to find out how many hours this usually takes ? So I can see if it fits in my Budget.

Not sure how many hours, but now is the time to do it. I elected not to go through with it during my metal work and regret not getting it done then. Now I am going to have to go back and do it. Fortunately, I haven't done paint and body yet.

I would say 7-10 hours. I did mine myself, and if I were doing it again (after doing it once), and the inner and outer tubs weren't installed, that's what I would guess,.....maybe less. A professional shop could probably do it in a little less time, I would imagine. If you want to run 345's, you need to "stretch" the tubs, and roll the inner lip of the quarter a little. It can be done, but to do it correctly, it requires some time with a hammer/spool and dolly.

I'm running PS2's - 325/45 on 19's, and I'm pretty sure I can make the 345's fit. Once I burn these up I'll try.

It's not that hard, Good luck!

Typically a minitub job takes 30-50 hours. Could be more with your outer WH being out . This includes measuring everything, making sure your tires actually fit (we often have to modify DSE tubs slightly for instance..) welding and grinding and seam sealing too.

Wow,..and this is why I do my own work. Not sure what the going rate is, either way that's a lot of $ in labor. It is involved, so I'm not trying to down play it. There's a lot of measuring, re-measuring, cutting, trimming, smoothing welds, etc. However, I'm not really sure how it would take longer with the WH already being out? That's a big part already done, cutting out the old WH. 30-50 hours seems high.

I misread, thought it was only the outer that was out. Since the outer doesn't need to be removed that's why it'd take longer since you'd have to weld it back in.
I'd say in the current state it's in, probably around 20 hours. 7 hours to fully minitub a car? Either you need to come work for us or you're watch is slow ;)
