I have decided to switch out the seats in my car, so I am selling my Sparcos. I purchased a used pair of these seats earlier this year, and due to some shipping issues, I ended up with 3 of them, 2 of which are new. They have been fitted and installed in my car, and ridden in during my 2 drives to date, but are otherwise new seats. I'm selling simply because I'm a little too big for them, and I've found a seat that fits me a bit better.

The R700 / R700A is the upper end of the reclining Sparco line, with just the leather version above it. It features adjustable lumbar support, adjustable thigh support, a reclining back, tilt-forward mechanism, and harness slots. I also have 2 of the Sparco sliders mounted to the bottoms of the seats. You can see more information at Sparco site below:

Sparco R700A (http://www.sparcousa.com/product/r700a)

If whomever buys the seats happens to be using them in a second gen F-body, I also have a set of custom mounts which were built to locate them as low to the floor as possible which I can include in the sale.

These seats are a bit of a pain to ship, but I've discovered that you can remove 4 bolts and separate the back from the bottom. You can then put them in a smaller box and pack them much more efficiently (and safely). So that is my plan regarding shipping of them.

Sparco's price on these seats new is $1699 + $100 for the slider, so a pair is going to run $3600 or so. My price for the 2 'new' seats with sliders is $2400 + shipping. For the third seat which I have that does not have the slider, I can offer than one for $1000 + shipping. It's in excellent condition with one of the plastic pieces a bit scuffed up on the side (if it bothers you, it's a $10 part to replace), just not 'new'.

I'll post some pictures below. Note that the flash makes the Alcantara material look blotchy, but it's not in person. The first pictures are from Sparco's site, the rest of my actual seats. PM or email me if you have any questions. I'm going to give the forums a couple of days, then probably list them on eBay for more coverage.

Beautiful seats and too rich for my blood, but do you have a picture of how they look with a person sitting in the car. I have a second gen too and I am taller at 6'4" and I am trying to see how much headroom different seats provide.

Stephen,

I don't have a picture with anyone sitting in it, unfortunately. I am 6'2, and as it's set right now, I can recline to a comfortable position, but with a helmet on, I would probably be touching the roof. I'm also a big guy, which probably causes me to sit a bit 'higher' than a more average build may. Meaning that I sit more 'on' the seat than 'in' the seat, if that makes sense...

It's surprising how low the roof is in these cars, especially when you realize the floor is higher than we would like it to be in the seat area... I'd love to cut it out and build a new floor, but that would get pretty costly!!!

I have been tempted. I don't think I will ever be able to track this car for that very reason unless I run Kirkey seats on the pan.

Do you still have the two new seats for sale?

If so, I am trying to figure out fitment. How big and tall are you? I am curious as I am trying to determine if I am going to have a similar issue. I am 6 foot, broad shouldered and weight about 280. ( muscle and a few extra #s).
Thank you,
D

I actually sold the 2 new ones, and I have a pending sale on the other one.

As for fitment, I'm 6'2 and about 250#. Part of my problem was height, and part of it was the relatively (to my build) narrow base. The base bolsters were a little too tight on my thighs, which was ultimately my biggest concern.

I loved the seats though, and I certainly like the feel the offer holding me in place!

TTT. My pending sale isn't moving forward, so I'm bumping this for the 1 single seat which I still have available. I would like to move this along...

Bump again for the 1 remaining seat.
