Hello all,
I am knew to this forum but not new to pro touring and resto mod concepts.
I am looking for a 1969 Camaro coupe that I will enhance to what I call "Mild Pro Touring" status.
I will use a 425 HP 383 SBC, and a 6 speed manual transmission, PS, PB , perhaps A/C, perhaps no A/C. The car will not be a daily driver, and it will most likely never see a drag strip or a road course. I want it to be well-balanced, safe, dependable, fun to drive and good looking.
Assuming the car is old, but solid, what upgrades do you think are the minimum in suspension, steering, and braking (without over doing it), in order to be considered by most observers to be a mild pro touring car? I prefer a slightly lowered stance with larger than stock wheels and tires.
Thanks for your help.
John T.
