New member here looking to learn! I've owned the truck for the past 4 years and its undergone a lot of changes since then but still has a lot more to come. Most recently it just underwent a heart transplant, I pulled the original 2.2/5 speed combo and shoehorned an L33/T56 combo in its place. So that's where it sits right now, I've just been driving it for the past month or so and shaking the truck down since it will see a lot of miles. Probably wont see much progress this summer, need to pay off some debt from the engine swap and buy a beater for the winter months while I'm up at school (onto my third year in mechanical engineering). But the big plans for the future being the next two or three years include...
- Cam
- 150 shot
- UMI tubular lowers (already have they're uppers)
- Front coil over conversion
- Custom 3 or 4 link suspension for the rear setup with coilovers
Those are sort of the biggies on the list right now, I'm sure a set of slicks will make there way onto that list as well. I've also got a set of C6 split spoke wheels I need to find some tires for so I can mount those up. But the overall theme for this truck is carving corners, looking good, and retaining great drive-ability. That's what I like about how I've built this truck so far, its just built to be driven and for the 1500 miles I've put on it already it hasn't given me any major headaches. You get in it, fire it up and cruise. But it does need some help in the suspension department to deal with the extra grunt under the hood. I'd love to see other S10 builds as well so please do share!
