Can't get latch to work - Can't open door

What is the trick to opening a faulty door latch? My pass. latch on the camaro has some kind of issue. I locked it and now can't unlock it. This is a fresh rebuild so there are no windows or door panels installed yet.

Never mind, figured it out. The push rod on the new handle had to be shortened up a bit.
