As you guys may know, I sold my supercharged LS6 equipped red '69 Camaro SS (http://www.extremeg.net) coupe about a month ago. Its new home is up in Evansville, Indiana.
I picked up this clean hugger orange '69 SS convertible about 2 weeks ago, it was in Tennessee. Its a true X55 code SS-350, and a true code 72 hugger orange car. Best of all, it doesn't have a numbers matching engine, it has a later generation ZZ4 GM crate 350 in it......for now
I plan to detail this car out a bit more than the last one, especially the underbody. Haven't decided if I'll be using an aftermarket subframe or just restoring the stock one again like I did last time. On the rear, I'd like to lose the leaf springs this time and go with a nice coil-over and trailing arm type setup. I placed the order for some 18" iForged alloy wheels last week, they will be the newest model a split-5 spoke in high polish. I've also bought all of the RS headlight/grille/tail light parts and will convert it to an RS front end.
Under the hood, I plan on doing a custom twin-turbo LS6, targetting 700-750 rwhp conservatively on pump gas. This will be backed up with a nicely built T56 6-speed of course. I'll probably go with a silver/brushed/black theme this time, and not so much chrome and polish.
Interior-wise, i'll be adding late model seats with custom leather, and will probably have custom door panels made, and an updated dash. I want the interior to be classy, but more like a newer car. I already installed the new steering wheel shown in the photo below.
Not a bad car to start with, it has some paint and body flaws that I'll have to repair. The car was restored over 10 years ago, so it needs a freshening up and probably a repaint, as well as a new roof.

I've been driving the car around quite a bit in the last week, it actually runs/drives pretty well for an old car. Just needs better handling and more power!
