I was thinking the other day that a LIKE button would be cool on the threads to like comments or pictures. What do you guys think?

Only if there is a "dislike" button as well. Good idea though

nope, it doesn't say "www.facebook.com" up there...

But there is a Like button @ the Top to link a thread to your Face Book page. I just think it would be another way for people to express their views without having to comment. Or when I'm @ work feeding my Pro-Touring addiction and don't have the time to type a comment. Its just a thought.

I prefer the interaction of a comment, it's more personal

Perfect example of when I would use "dislike" then I wouldn't have to type this. I suppose the chat box is too "social media'ish" for you too lol.

chatting is something that also happens on facebook... if you want to "like" something, go there. Mark Zuckerberg invented the "like" button, so to use it anywhere else is just disrespectful to him and all the goodness that he brings to the universe...

Actually, that's a great idea...

Actually if you look at the quotes it says "dislike", not "like". Yes, I'm being a smart ass. In all seriousness, I think it COULD be a useful Idea. I actually would prefer to get a response most of the time. I just think it could be useful when a vendor or manufacturer unveils a new product or special. I know for a fact I have looked at numerous projects here that I admired or liked and didn't leave a response. Just another way to acknowledge ones accomplishment's or show gratitude without leaving a reply. It could also act as a impromptu survey when two people respond to a question that is commonly asked. Instead of having 20 people write responses (the same questions they have probably answered numerous times) they could simply like one of the two already written. Then a person could make an educated decision based off the "likes". Honestly, I could care less either way. Just throwing my .02 in.

Have you tried the "Rate this thread" option at the top of the first post"

On another forum I belong to we have a button that allows us to "Thank" or "Groan" a post. This seems to work very well.

Actually, I never knew what it was all about. Just looked at it, pretty cool.
