Hello everybody! I recently got a sweet 1977 LT Camaro for my first car, and really want to make it into something unique. I spent a lot of time surfing the web looking for some useful information and eventually found this great website. I really don't know a ton about cars, but I do have a lot of free time and am willing to learn and get my hands dirty. I have already learned a lot by reading some of the build threads here and hope to start my own. As I said, this is my first car so my budget is practical nothing, but hopefully I can find a part time job this summer and rake in the cash(or not). Thanks again, and I can't wait to be part of this community!

Welcome to the forum. How old are you? I got my GTO when I was 15...which was more years than I care to admit ago...

Welcome to the forum.... try to post a few pics of the car when you have a chance. If you are planning on upgrading the suspension, please take a look at the link below detailing an install that a Pro-Touring member completed with our Ford 9 in. kit in his 1973 Firebird:

https://www.pro-touring.com/showthread.php?80483-BMR-Torque-Arm-Installed-on-my-73-Firebird/page2&highlight=TORQUE+ARM

The owner of the 73 Firebird made the following comments to us:

“I've put 4000 miles on it and drive it at every possible opportunity. No track time yet due to other commitments but there is always this spring. I still have to play with the shock settings to soften up the launch, it is just incredible how the car reacts from the factory setup. The rear stays planted no matter if it's in the corners or straights. I've had ZERO issues with the entire setup, I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY with it. I hope to get some auto-x & road course time this spring.”

I still can't thank you all there enough for everything, the kit really changed the car into a ride that I truly enjoy driving.”

Thanks for the link, looks like a great product. I will try to get some pictures up sometime soon, but my weekend is pretty swamped, so I will so what I can do.

Where in Everett are at? I'm over in Monroe.

MS68EFI- I was thinking of running my car in an event this summer to get a baseline before I dig into the suspension. I should be test firing the LS1 in my 1967 Camaro within the next couple weeks. If there are any events towards the end of the summer I'd love to go.

No worries, looking forward to seeing the car as is....

The guys at V8TV recently shot a great install and results video of our kit on a customers 71 Firebird:

There are events. Unfortunately we just don't get the big Pro-touring events in the area, but we can still go have some fun. The autocross events in the NW are actually very intense and fun.. large layouts and plenty of opportunity to test. We are going to be out quite a few times this year as we are now sponsored by QA1 and doing some R&D for their new MOPAR line.

Keep me posted on your progress.
