My Edelbrock drop base air cleaner wont clear the fuel rails on the EZ-EFI throttle body. A small air cleaner spacer is an option, but my hood clearance is tight already. A factory housing will clear, but I don't like the tiny inlet tubes.

I'd like to run a cool air intake anyway, so I'm wondering if anybody knows will the Speed by Spectre low profile 14" air cleaner housings fit on the EZ-EFI throttle bodies? I emailed their tech line, but would be nice to possibly get some real word experience as well.

Did you try the Spectre cleaner with the efi???
Curious as I'm looking to do the same thing!!

Nope, sorry. I'm currently using a small spacer to clear the fuel rail, and had to remove the factory under-hood insulation as it was resting on top of the air cleaner and breaking apart from rubbing against it. I have about 1/2" clearance from top of the air cleaner to the hood.

I'll probably order the Spectre kit this winter and make it work, may have to modify the base.

I had problems as well and then went with the off-set air cleaner base which lifted the air cleaner above the rails and then forward 1.5 inches. Spectre, K&N sells these. They come with an off-set air cleaner stud. Problem I had was that the air cleaner wouldn't stay clocked where I needed it to for hood to close and built brackets that lock the air cleaner base to the FAST EFI.
