What are the best priced and performance brakes for the 67-72 Chevy trucks not wanting to convert my lug pattern

Do you have discs or drums now?

Do you want to lower the truck or leave it the same height?

Convert to modern big disk brakes and switch over to 5 lugs at the same time.

The front drum brake applications were 6-lug, disc became an option in '72 IIRC and were 5x5. Best priced options would arguably be the OE front disc brakes with 11.85" x 1.28" rotors, D52 calipers, etc. Best performance would be something bigger, newer, etc. Best value depends on what you intend to do with your truck since too much brake means spending money that could have otherwise been spent elsewhere, however too little brake and you'll be doing it twice.

Answer the questions above and include your intended use and you should get better, more specific and more detailed information from the masses.

The 2000s Silverado 1500 have rotors with 6x5.5 rotors that slip over hubs (maybe your drum hubs will work). Could be a starting point for a low cost setup, maybe Tobin have some ideas on this.
