View Full Version : Caliper hose length C5/LS1 brakes?

I need to change out some hoses on my setup, and I was wondering if anyone knew the proper length of the C5/LS1 style brake caliper hoses (between caliper and hard line), I'm about to order a 3 piece set from Kore 3 and they require a length. Also, if you know the fitting sizes for each end, it would help, otherwise, I'll go and dig through all my info and find it.

Both C5 and the 4th Gen F-body brakes will use 10mm banjo bolts at the calipers. Stock your first gen would have 3/8-24 female inverted flares on the chassis side.
C5 hoses are 16.5". If I recall correctly I remember Tobin posting something about they would typically supply 14" hoses in this configuration.

I made it work with whatever stock size bubble flare GM used on the ends of the LS brakes, I think it was a 12mm bubbleflare on the opposite end of the banjo, I can't recall exactly. I was thinking about getting 12in hoses, but if Tobin recommends 14", I'll go with that.

If you're looking at the chassis end of the stock C5 hoses they'll be M10x1 bubble flare. C5 masters am have one of the fittings that's 12mm

Wow, I just realized they sell pre-configured sets for C5.

Have you called tobin yet? Im sure he can help. I have always got great info from a phone call. He sold me a pre-configured set for my nova c5 front and ls1 rear.
