Its a ccc quadrajet...junk I know, it will start, and idle, but when revved bogs/stalls. When slowly revved it will rev up.

Doesnt matter if the car is cold or warm. But if I hold the choke flap back so its almost closed, it will rev fine.

Also the mixture control solonoid does work fine. Some what at a loss.

Send it to Sean Murphy.

I had one on my last engine. Worked flawlessly.

Sounds like it could even be fuel pump related. If you are starving it for air to get the engine to rev, it's not getting enough fuel.

Gonna need more info than that... has the carb been rebuilt? Are all the plugs still in place? Is it on a stock engine? When you try revving it from underhood with the choke open, can you see an accelerator pump shot?

There have been other issues out there, like the charcoal canister bags letting loose over time for evap emissions, and the carb vacuum eventually pulls them in. There's usually a purge valve (thermostatically controlled) in front of the carb, you can take that off and see if charcoal granules come out. If they come out of there, they've gotten into the carb.
