As stated in the title line, the bushings won't fit. But I don't think the bushings are at fault. There is a metal piece that I don't think should be there that is in the way. Ill attach pictures. I do not have enough experience building to know for sure so the help is much appreciated.

That looks to have been modified in the past. Maybe some old subframe connectors that were cut off? What did the old bushings look like? The new ones look like the correct ones from what i see in the pic.

I was not the person who disassembled it so i have no clue what it looked like before. My thought was that there was metal added, and its also the thoughts of most of my friends. I just dont want to cut it out and later find out that it should have stayed in. Im sure the bushings are correct, because they fit perfectly in the hole, theres just that metal strip in the way.

I can say with 100% certainty that, from the factory, there should be 2 layers of metal there. I think I'm seeing 3 in the pic from the top. It appears there was something inserted and welded into the end of your sub.
Going from memory, I believe the rear sub bushing hole should be 2".

Here are a few pics showing a reproduction sub. This is exactly how I remember my stock sub appearing. It's long gone so I have no way of comparing anything.

Thanks for the pictures, I guess ill try cutting out that piece with a holesaw and seeing if the bushings will fit then
