I just got a set of 2012 Camaro heritage rims and tires for real cheap and when I put them on the front rubs a lot. Currently the tire is 245/55 r18 and I dropped the front 2 in with hotchkis drop springs I was wondering if I get a 245/35 r18 will it clear or is it the springs that need to be swapped too?

55 series is way big for a lowered 67 you need a 40 or 35 series tire

That's what I thought but even with a 35 is it going to rub? Should I put the stock springs back on?

How? I have a 12 and the wheel backspace is so far off in the rear it will not even bolt up to my 67 without hitting. Are you running all fronts?

What do you mean by 12? Are you putting 2012 wheels on yours? The heritage wheels bolted up just fine in the front and the rear just the front are too tall and it rubs

The person in the best situation to figure that out is you at the moment. On the right wheel 245/35's should easily fit. Where does it rub? When does it rub? Are springs the only thing that's changed? What size/offset are the wheels? As RJ mentioned many modern wheels don't come close to fitting a muscle car due to a much higher offset.

It rubs on the back of the fender all the time even when it just sits I can post a pic later but the front suspension is all stock I replaced the brakes to disc and kept a stock style spindle only thing different forms a stock set up is the springs and d52 wilwood calipers the control arms came off a 69 Camaro

Hmmm. My 2012 SS wheels don't even come close to fitting my car (I tried for giggles). A 245 "should" fit but it would have to be on the right wheel, which you don't have.

Coil overs will help you dial in the correct height. a shorter tire would help a bunch 35 series would be ideal but you sacrifice some ride quality / harshness. I am running 245/45-18's on the front and 275/45-18's on the rear with rolled inner fender lips.

Sanman,
Do you have pictures of your Camaro posted somewhere? I'd like to see the 245/45-18's.

7704377044 Ok I think I figured it out. Here are the latest pictures with CPP stage 4 kit with QA1's so far everything is good. The ride height was really improved with the coil overs. Rear rolled fenders is a must with anything 1.5 inch lower ore more. Let me know if you need any other info.
