Hello all! I've been lurking around this site for a little while, so I decided to register and post up the cause of my headaches. I sold my 03 cobra to get into an classic mustang, but this car wasn't working for a daily driver. No A/C in Arizona is a no no. Now I've got a jeep for a DD, which will be paid off very soon, so I'm trying to decide whether to put money into the jeep or keep it for a nice DD and focus on the mustang as a project. I'm sure you kind folks will be biased towards the car, but here's what my car looks like right now.

She's got some issues, and needs some body and paint work, but overall not a bad start for a project. If I can fix some of the motor issues without too much issue, then I'll be a lot more tempted to keep it. I have a hard time enjoying it right now, but perhaps this forum will be able to help me sort out some of the issues and give me some ideas. Take care everyone!

Paul,

Welcome to the site. You have a great start on your 66 Mustang project. I would focus on getting the AC fixed and fixing the motor issues first before starting on any other mods. I am partial to these cars, in fact I sold my 66 vintage burgundy metallic coupe to buy my 69 Camaro. Looking forward to seeing this project progress.

Thanks Marc. The A/C would be second on my list of things to do, after sorting out the sputtering issue I'm having. I wish the car was still the original burgundy, but it was repainted a while back with some really metallic burgundy that's almost purple in some lighting conditions. I've recently fell in love with the grabber blue on the new mustangs, so when the time for paint comes, I may consider a different color all together.

I really like the Grabber Blue. There's a couple of first gen coupes I've seen here and other sites that look amazing in Grabber Blue. Great start for a project. I hope to see more.
