BFG KDW 2s help!!

Looking at running 285/30/20 and 265/35/18 anyone have some input?
I'll be doing mostly highway and back road travel maybe track use here and there for test and tune type days but that's it. I like that I see they get a lot of life out of them around 30k which is awesome and that they perform in wet conditions too!
I heard they were noisy but my exhaust I figure will drone out the tire noise? I'm driving a Mercedes?

I'm guessing you meant to say you are not driving a Mercedes??
Expecting 30k miles out of this tire or any performance tire is a leap of faith especially if you track the car. The easier you drive the longer the life. I replaced my KDW tires with 40% tread remaining because they started to be dry from age.
You also mentioned back roads... In my mind back roads equal pot holes. If that's true you may want smaller rims and larger tires. Maybe that's not the type of back roads you have.

Yes sorry I was at work typing to fast, but yes I'm not driving a Mercedes I'm driving a 72 dart with all new suspension :) But like I said was wondering if my exhaust will drone out the tire noise? Also when I say back roads I guess I mean more like 2 lane highways paved roads just through the country scenic routes etc.
Any how did u like your KDWs ? And you have any complaints about road noise?

We use KDW's often and yes exhaust will drown out their noise. You most likely won't even notice it!

my opinion???
The fronts are too tall, they are only 1.5" shorter than the rear, the rim is 2" smaller, this will make the front tire have a taller sidewall than the rear, and it will look WRONG. the 285/30 is 26.7" tall which means you need a front tire that is no more than 24.5 tall.
this has to be the most common mistake made when the 18/20 combo is done.
you need the 245/35/18 front tire @ 24.7 or the 235/35/18 @ 24.5

Thanks for brining that up, never thought about that, I did know I had to stay under 26" for clearance but never thought about the look of the sidewall with the staggered setup,

So I already ordered tires shortly after I posted this, but the 265 are a little too wide for me and now the sidewall size came up I sent them back. I like havving a big wide front tire but since my rear tire is not super wide like 335 or anything decided to stay a couple sizes smaller in front so I went with the 245/35/18! I would like to see if anyone has a similar set up that could post some pics for me?? Thanks guys
