I'm in the market for self-learning EFI kit, 3 options.

So, I am in the market for a self-learning EFI kit. I have researched the Edelbrock EFI E-street kit. Brand new kit but not much info to base a decision off of. The Fsst E-efi kit seems really good with lots of positive feedback. And the MSD Atomic EFI has alot of positive responses as well. I am looking for a true returnless line efi setup, for now and then if I need to install a return line I can do that at a later date. I just want to get up and running ASAP.

Summit Racing has all these in stock for right around $2100. Can anybody speak to pros and cons for each kit for please?

Most returnless need a modulator for the fuel pump on top of the cost for the EFI. Have you looked at the Performance Products Powerjection?

I am not sure what you mean by modulator, do you mean regulator? These kits are marketed as complete kits ready to install. I know some may not come with an O2 bung and you will have to buy/ install one. But as far as parts go, I would hope a complete kit is just that, a complete kit!

Its a control box that cycles the fuel pump on and off to keep it from just constantly being on. Some complete kits have them and some don't, they consider it an accessory because the kit is designed for a return line.

The new FAST is about to come out too. Its impressive.

You can get the FAST 30227 kit at other places online for $1,850 or less. I don't understand why running a return line is a big deal? The FAST kit comes with enough hose to do it, and probably another 30 minutes of labor to install it.

I'm in the same boat, don't want to spend any more time or money on my carb, so next step is self-tuning EFI. I'm leaning toward FAST EZ-EFI v1.0 because I already have a programmable MDS 6AL2, and I don't make enough power to need the 8 injectors v2.0 has.

If you go with a FAST EZ, I did, dont bother with the master kit. The fuel line is push n lok that is virtually impossible to use. It is the sh**iest line ive ever seen. Plus the pumps arent anything to shout about either especially when an in tank Walbro is so easy to install these days.

I was planning on the master kit, then using the Tanks Inc. tank with recessed electric in tank pump. That way I'd have everything needed, and the cheap inline FAST pump wouldn't be used.

Would you suggest the basic kit, buy different lines, fittings, and regulator... and use the Tanks Inc tank I mentioned?

Erik, one thing to keep in mind is even the manufactures put limitations on using a return-less style system. Depending on power levels, temperatures you drive in, and other things... They often suggest using a return line. To me that means it's a better way of doing it overall.

Absolutely! Line isnt that expensive in 6an, even the good stuff. I had to replace all but the return line out of the crap that was in the FAST kit.

First of all what year car do you have.
Depending on the year there already might have a return line.

I have a 68 Camaro with no return line. I have about 300-350hp. All of them advertise no return line needed. I was just hoping to not have to drop the tank and install an in tank pump and return line. I am not sure how to install a pump in the tank.

Erik take a look at the Tanks Inc tank for your car. It's a very economical way to switch to EFI.
