I have a 65 Mustang fastback going into the shop and am trying to decide if I should do a 3 link (similar to Street or Track's) or a 4 link, for the rear. I plan on doing some autoX and driving the hell out of it. The car will have the DSE tubs and the plan is to run a frame connector through frame rails from torque box to torque box. May also go with a 6 pt cage (unobstructed) to help stiffen the car.
The only thing neg. I've heard about the 4 links is 'bind'.
Any suggestions will be helpful.

I like the 3-link in my falcon. The Tri-4 link in my drag mustang doesnt have bind in normal operating conditions.

Thanks Mike and Bryce. I think I've decided on the 3 link w/ the watts link setup. It's all being fabricated by a young kid (at 25 he's a young man) in the area that does fantastic work.
Mike , I did some homework and found that the older ford explorers 8.8 are nearly a direct fit for the 1st gen mustang, by using the shorter tubes (since its offset rear)
BTW Bryce, thanks for the falcon link, 2 days of reading it and got nothing done around the house. Wife put me in the doghouse................... at least I still have the internet

The pinion input is higher on an 8.8 compared to the 9", a really low car might have driveshaft clearance issues with the tunnel.

HAHA, I am glad I can help.
