Hey guys, its time for fitting of the side windows. Right now I'm really just tackling it to make sure I have weight in the door as I do final panel alignment, so I'm not worried about worn out rollers and glass alignment, I have a more fundamental problem - the window won't role up all the way (or even close).

A couple years ago I installed new door skins with panel adhesive and didn't weld the top flange to the inner structure because I figured I would need to wait till I put the windows in. When I try to role the windows up, the large dome shaped "lugs" that hold the window mechanism to the glass hit on corresponding domes stamped into the upper flange on the door skin. I've attached some not so great pictures to show what I'm talking about.
My thought is obviously (I think) that the inner panel of the door skin with the domes on it must be pushed outward (towards the outside of the vehicle) so the window can role up - but, the fact that the domes (sorry, don't know what else to call them) on the door skin and on the window line up, which would lead me to believe that is intentional. Is that so they will actually make contact when the window is all the way up? Gosh thats hard to explain...

Sorry the first one is sideways

And pics of the door skin "domes" on the top portion (the cleaner, newer metal)

The question is - when in the up position, should the inner door "domes" touch the domes that attach the glass to the rollers? Or should there be space between them?
Thanks guys.
