Confused about what to consider my truck build

Well I got my dads 4x4 1988 GMC Sierra regular cab short box for my 15th birthday(in 2005 incase anyone wants to feel old lol) and I REFUSE to get rid of it so I decided it was time for a good build on it. Plans are to drop it 3" in the front 4" in the back, polyurethane bushing kit, big swaybars, 20" Silverado SS replica wheels, 275/40 or 275/45 tires, some break upgrades, a very nice interior with a great stereo, and run some LS power in it(I'm really excited for the first 4wd launch). Now my problem is will this really be a protouring truck, it won't be very low or handle amazing just alot better than stock or would you consider it more of a hot street truck? I think the truck fits most of the criteria with the modern power, brake and suspension upgrades but will it "really fit" the name?

Who cares what you call it if it is cool. If you make it faster, handle better and brake better then most people on this board will like it. No need to get wrapped up in a title.

Are you building to to have more power?
Are you building it to handle better?
Are you upgrading the safety?
Are you upgrading the overall perfromance?

If you can say yes to most of these questions then Yes it is a Pro-Touring Truck.

I would love to find away to build a AWD truck as after you work out a few bus, it will be a great truck for auto-x and road course racing. If you can get everything working right it will have great handling and performance.

Most of all have fun, enjoy and dont worry about titles. It is your truck and you have to be happy with the end product. If you are not, then it is back to the drawing board to fix the issues.
