Some of you may remember my 66 Olds Cutlass that my friend Scott coined the term Joe-Touring back in 2006. It was a nice car built on a working mans budget in a home garage. I didn't have the most expensive latest and greatest but there was money spent in the right places and it turned out to be a really cool car.

My new car will be that car on steroids. I plan on doing 90%+ of all work done to the car and end up with a car most will think was built by a pro. I have hired Ben Hermance to do the renderings and it has been a tremendous help to get get ideas that have been floating in my head in front of me. I highly recommend his work.

I have now narrowed about 20 different concepts down to my last three. Now is where it gets tough. The last three look so damn good I just don't know the direction I will go. I expect this to be a 3+ year project to be able to fund it and find the time to build it having a young family and working all the time.

Final 3

If it ends up like one of those renderings it'll be cool, I like the first one best as it has the most "correct" vibe to my eye.

What's the planned drive train, suspension etc?

I like the top rendering. It looks more true to the vintage of the car.

I like where this is going.

Port injected force inducted early rocket motor. Frame will be somewhere between a RS or similar if I can afford it down to highly modified stock frame. It will be built to drive fast, handle, stop and look kick ass in the process.

Thanks its been a thought process over the last few years staying up with crying twins in the middle of the night.

I like the plan to use a port fuel Olds engine. Way to think original. Keep it up.

Don't make us wait too long Richard! Reality is, you really can't go wrong with any of those choices! Did you sell the '68 442 yet?

Getting real close to being ready to sell. Hoping to have it at our zone show with a for sale sign on it.

Nice to see your doing another project Richard. If it is anything like the 66, it will be an awesome ride. I vote for the white and gold also. Glad to see it will still be Olds powered. Maybe incorparate a dual carb manifold or tri-power manifold for the injection would be sweet. Since there are plenty around for those motors still.

Thanks I am really excited to build it. This car has been in my head for a few years now.

Good to see you are still around. Making progress on yours still?

I have something pretty cool planned for the intake and induction in my head. We will see how it comes together.
