I need to change the color on a set of Pony wheels I have. One manufacturer I talked to said they paint/clear coat their wheels. They said not to powder coat aluminum wheels because it changes the molecular structure of the aluminum or something along those lines. So what is the best way to change the colors and if I go paint what is a good paint/clear coat that will withstand wheel/brake temperatures?

So can anyone recommend a place in the south around Lafayette La to Houston, Tx? What does it usually cost? I called two local places and they want double what I paid for the wheels but that is typical of Lafayette.
