Hello guys! (and gals)
I am in the process of building a pretty trick 1950 Ford Shoebox and can't seem to find many others who have chosen this route. Most '49-'51 Fords end up chopped and dropped, but I love the idea of taking mine in the opposite direction and would love to chat with anyone else who has done this.

SBF 408W stroker that cranked out 547hp and 440ft lbs of torque.
AOD automatic, but would love to eventually swap in a Tremec 6 speed.
9" Ford rear end with 3:70 gears
20x10's out back with 295/40ZR20
18x7's up front (tires TBD)

Interior will be pretty much stock with the exception of a 6 point roll bar and leather.

Pictures coming soon!

Wow! Out of the box. I like it.

I'm just curious, which body style do you have?

I'm interested to see how it turns out, since my Dad has a 53 Mercury Monterey 2dr. It's mostly stock with a couple upgrades, mostly the opposite of Pro-Touring.

Actually like them sectioned. To me,the body looks alot better with factory window height and the body a couple inches shorter. Fell in love with one I saw in an old Hot Rod a number of years ago.
