Anyone have a Blue Print Engine LS3 427? I see that all the major dealers are selling them and some like SDPC are selling the Blue Print long block giving the buyer the impression that its theirs vice Blue Print engines. The price and warranty are very good!! Thanks

They have been selling engines for a little while. I wish we could see the failure history or warranty claims.

If I was in the market for a LS of this type, I would spend a little more and go to www.texas-speed.com

I'm eyeing the ls3 427 605hp. I'm saving big time

From what little I've heard from anyone that's went with any BluePrint engine is as long as the engine is good, there's nothing to worry about. But, if you have to make a warranty claim, their customer service is a complete PITA. I have never dealt with them so I can't personally give a real account to this. This is just what I have read and heard from others.

My advice is do more research and make sure what you're getting and who you're getting from. The BP engine may be cheaper, but in my experience, you get what you pay for.

understand but a year or less warranty with other builders falls very short. shoot GM gives you two

It sure is nice to have a warranty...But nobody will warranty an engine that is used for racing or competition. When you buy a 600hp LS engine....what is your intention? :smoke:

At least if you buy an engine from Texas-Speed, I think they "know" what your doing with the engine and they spec if out for that purpose. Although no engine is going to last if you are constantly bumping off the rev limiter, dumping the clutch, over heating it etc...

I would go for an engine that was built to race and I don't you will find that from Blue-Print or GM. Although, GM does sell "Race" packages, but again...Not warranted.

Vstol,

Thank you for your interest in BluePrint Engines! We do have a couple different versions of our 427 LS, is there a specific one that you are looking at? Please let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be happy to help.

Thanks,

Thanks Andrew, I am in touch with Bryan Gibiel and looking for the dyno results for the LS3 427 FI and Carb. I also sent him my build sites

I have also been looking at this engine package. Comes complete with ECM, pedal, dyno sheet and all FI system components. Add a great warranty I'm sold.
