IMPALA MAN

I spotted a few builds on here with Caprices. Therefore I decided to post mine. This was the first car I ever owned. Purchased with my cash when I was 16. A lot of memories here. I am going to post some photos over the next few weeks. Below is what it was when I was 16. The next pictures will show the rest of the story.

Once I was out of college, got married, worked for 15 years, etc, etc, I decided to step it up a notch.

I'm subscribing to this one :) My father is about ready to pass down his 77' caprice 2door and while it's built really well, it's not my cup of tea on the stance/handling so I'm interested to see what you have in store. Hopefully I can get some good tips and ideas from your build.
Good luck.

Just sayin. That's right, old school TPI. This way everything bolts up and I can get headers and anything I want that fits.

This was an earlier part of the bodywork before I put it on the dolly. This is where I was getting the ride height set and wheel fitment correct

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone on this forum who inspire all of us to do the things we do. You have truly made me bitten by the bug. I have been a car guy for all of my life. This is the car I bought when I was 16 with my hard earned cash. It was my first car. It was with me all the way through 4 years of automotive college. As you can see in my first post, I did a lot of things with it throughout the years. About 8 years ago, I decided to completely redo it. However it is this site and other pro touring sites that inspired my to take it over the top. Remember, many people can fix up a car, but it takes a real man to cut one up!!!! Now with my welder and a little imagination, nothing is off the table and everything is "off the chain".
Thanks a again to everyone!

Wicked build! As a high school kid getting into cars in the 80s my mom had an 82 Caprice 4 door for a while. I loved the pro Street big car cruisers back then and often wondered how cool a "modern" two door Caprice done pro street style would be. The big tires look right at home on the bigger bodies, and I'm digging what you've done with yours! The smoothed body flows well with the "aero" rear window, and the Camaro gills are a great touch! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more progress, it's been a few months so let's see some more!! :)

Wow. Thanks to everyone wanting more. The weather is about to break here and I am anxious to get back on it. Things are really going to get crazy in the next few months.........I got a TIG welder!! I can't wait!
What I could really use some help on is color suggestions. If anyone has any ideas, post them. It's not like you see these built this way very often.........or even at all!
