I have a 1979 trans am that im putting a 73 oldsmobile 455 in and wondering if i need to use shorty headers or hooker headers or if any others will fit??? Please help.

the 455 is an actual big block, alot of things will need to be modified for it all to fit under the stock hood and look good, cutting the air filter housing is a must or a drop base unit such as WFO or Blockers... the 455 is wider than the 403 so I am not sure if the olds headers made for the t/a will actually fit...... but you really need to post all your post in one thread, this is not an emergency and should not be posted in this section. seems like you might need to skim over the rules before making too many posts.... but hope it helps

X2 on the statement above. Keep everything in one "build" thread and post in the appropriate forums.
As far as your question goes, be aware that the F bodies and X bodies share a lot of subframe and suspensions parts so, if you can find a header application for an Omega with a 455, it may work in the T/A.
Engine mounts may be usable also.

Thanks for the tips on the site. Im just new and just learning the ins and outs of the site. :) i just posted a "build" thread for my 79 trans am. And thanks for the tips on headers. Ive test fit the motor mounts and they will work the only problems i have are the headers and air box but i think im going to delete the airbox and eventually install aftermarket air unit on it.
