hey Folks. i´ve been around here for a while now, reading and learning and getting Input from some great People so at first i want to thank Larry for this awesome Forum! i bought my 69 camaro 8 years ago when i was at a dragrace Event in Germany checking ads in a magazine. i had some uscars before including a 81 CJ7 V8, 2 Grand cherokees, a 71 Trans Am 455, 78 Trans Am 403, 97 1500 Ram and right now i have a 330xd Beemer as daily, a 06 Hemi Ram as workhorse but the longest relationship i ever had is my 69 Camaro looking at cars and chicks :) The camaro was a swiss built car and located in switzerland (GM and Mopar had plants in switzerland cause there were taxes on the cars but None on the parts so they started to assemble them there). it was a plain jane 307/350 Combo but it had a "heart stroke" so i didn´t mind about that cause i wanted to go Bigblock anyways. so over the years i stepped further and further going from 427cui and built 350tranny to a high compression 468 with a CK 200-4r and finally i went with an all aluminum solid roller 540 and keisler tko600 Combo. over the years i converted to tubular arms, coilovers front, wilwoods, fays watts link, FAF leafsprings with spherical bearings and some other parts and pieces. but when it Comes down to the Name of the Project there´s a Little Story behind it. 3 years ago i had a Little too much fun went off the road and hit a road sign and jumped dukes of hazzard style into a guys garden, you should have seen his face cause he was mowing his lawn :hammer: luky nobody got hurt but my car looked horrible. so i took it back home and bought some sheetmetal and kinda band-aided it myself with a Little welder and tons of epoxy. that happened between the 468 and the 540 so fact is that i´ve never been a paint or Body guy cause i´d just wanted to go fast and so i´d rather ordered an aluminum 540 instead of getting the work done right on the Body :spank2: now a couple years later and sets of wasted tires i´m getting older and not really wiser so i decided to redo the whole car getting those band-aids off and doing it right the pro-touring way. Body was getting sand blasted and is right now at surgery at my buddy´s shop replacing a lot of sheetmetal.
i hope i didn´t steal anybodys project name but if i did....sorry and i´m too far away from the states to get sued :)

here´s how it looked after the crash

part updates..... testfitted the 418cui AFR headed LS with ez-efi coupled to my tko that i used before on the 540bbc. today it was kinda like Christmas started cause i got my forgeline wheels and the strong-arms with select coilovers. already installed the ridetech rear with select coilovers about a month ago but just tack welded cause we Need to remove everything again to finish the Body and get the floor painted. pretty excited in 2 weeks the tanks inc. Tank is gonna arrive and by then i´ll get the engine started for the first time.

Wow, major surgery Pat!

I didn't realize you were going in that deep. You told me you were going to upgrade suspension and do some bodywork but this is a complete overhaul.

so now it´s time for a update........changed plans here and there but now everything was assembled and disassembled to get the body finally done and ready to paint. engine setup changed to a Holley HP EFI with a p1sc charger. i got hands on a set of almost new C5 Z51 brakes from a vette in germany so i changed the wilwood/SSBC to a well balanced set of OEM brakes, not top of the line stuff but should handle all i do with ease. the dashboard is gonna get changed so we built it new and fabricate a new gauge insert for my autometer gauges.

and that´s me on my cali/nevada/arizona trip 2013. i was fortunate to volunteer at tech inspection (helping greg) with my dutch friend martin van weerle and getting a close look at all those badass cars! that was definitely one of the most fun holidays i ever had and i wish i could do it again this november. it´s a pleasure that all those high end cars like lambos/sls/gtr/R8 get spanked by brian hobaughs vette or mark stielows camaro and everybody else who puts effort and ton´s of money into those old cars. keep up like that guys cause it makes me and everybody else in this forum moving forward. i got a little bit unmotivated over the last couple weeks but watching the blue balz 2.0 video on youtube kicked my ass and everything started to itch when i heard that LS7 scream down the track.
