Doing an LSX swap into my 69 Nova. MUST have internal pumps, and can't find an EFI tank for a decent price. Rick's sells one for more than I paid for my engine/transmission, so thats not an option.
I seen that Tanks Inc. sells several camaro tanks that are all EFI-ready, some complete with canister and pumps. The dimensions between a Camaro tank and a Nova tank are only slightly different, with the camaro tank being larger:
-69 Nova Tank: 38" x 19-3/8" x 7-3/8"
-69 Camaro Tank: 39-3/8" x 20-7/8" x 7-3/4"
Tanks Inc. sells a Camaro EFI tank for a VERY reasonable price. I know that the filler neck is completely different, but I plan on re-doing the entire fuel filler anyway so I dont view this as a problem. That actually says a lot considering everyone I have asked this question so far as given me the fuel filler tube as the main reason it won't work. The only other thing I'm concerned about is the width. Its an extra inch and a half wide, and I plan on doing a mini-tub soon.
If the Camaro tank wont work, has anyone swapped a newer style tank into an older Nova for EFI purposes? I just may have to go to the junk yard and start taking measurements.
