I did some research but didn't come away all that confident that I found what I needed so I thought I would try here. I have wilwood dynalite 4 piston, solid rotors up from of my 68 Camaro running a 383 stroker and 5 speed trans. I did the Evolution performance school this weekend and after a few runs consecutively, the brakes would sort of give out. I'm assuming due to the heat. I'm looking at getting a new set of pads that can handle the heat and punishment of autocross. Can anyone give me any suggestions on the type of pads I should purchase?

I was thinking something along these lines.

Thought?

Thanks

EBC makes pads for those wilwood calipers. Take a look at their site. The blue stuff might be a good choice for you. They also list the friction coefficients and temp ranges.

I knew alot of guys that autocrossed that used organics as fade usually wasn't an issue and wanted better cold pad results.

What pad do you have-their standard BP-10? Down side of that caliper is a really small pad size.

Yes, unfortunately there is not much good to say about that caliper. It is "worse" than stock 10.5" discs in almost every way. I really think the problem is poor choice of caliper. But you may get away with it by using a high temp pad. This is not normal for auto-x. The poly-b is a racing pad. Are you planning to swap pads at the event, or do street driving on them?

This is what I'm stuck with at this point and time. I mostly drive it on the street with some autocrosses thrown in there. I will be doing the Detroit Speed Southern Slam and was hoping to get a better pad for the road course. I need something that gives me a happy medium of street and race use. Probably about 60/40 really. If that's possible. I'm saving to go to a much better set.

Your going to want two sets of pads. If I was you have a set for the street ( what you have one there now) and a set of race pads for autoX/track days

Those are for the Superlite calipers. The OP has Dynalites.
