I'm doing a C5 disc brake upgrade on my camaro(81). I have the kore3 brackets for this. This calls for 2 left calipers so the brakes are staggered because of the shocks.
Could one of the shocks be relocated to either the front or rear of the axle, so I can run the calipers on the same side as each other instead of 180 apart?
And, can it be done with no mods?
Thanks.

DSE makes a nice cross brace to mount the shocks to for their mini tub kit, that would relocate both shocks inboard of the wheel tub along the frame rail. Id bet you could get just the brace and the shocks from them if you called them up.

There is a reason that GM staggered the shocks in 69 and has continued to do so on (I think) every leaf spring equipped vehicle they have built since then.

I would run two left calipers and leave the shocks alone. Can't see both sides at the same time.......

Check out the Parts for Sale section here, there is a DSE 70-81 F-Body shock relocation crossmember listed. These are not available from DSE seperate from the kit - so if this interests you I'd buy it. The lower mounts are available from DSE.

Would it be possible to turn the damper / shock with the body on top ? Will this gain enough space for the damper ? If it's possible to find a damper that can be mounted in that position... I have the same issue, and have been thinking of this...
