Might be a dumb question, but here it goes. I'm going with a Ford 9 for my rear-end. Any reason why I should not go with the Ford wheel bolt pattern (5 on 4.5, correct?) on the rear and GM pattern on Front? Rears will be wider anyways.

Your wheels will have to be two different bolt patterns

I figured that, but it would not matter since the rears will be wider. I did think of an issue since I posted; I would run into issues with using GM Brakes if I did this. I guess it's probably best to stick with the GM pattern

well if u diced to go with a 5 x 4.5 on the back and 5 x 4 3/4 on front I have a set of wheels that am going to sell. if it interests you the are 17 x 8 and 17 x 9 1/2 torq thrust ll .

Appreciate that, but I don't think they would fit over C5 brakes

I just had my axles re drilled on the ford 8.8. I think it only cost like 70$. Worth it to me.

I'm running 17x10's on the front of the van. No C5 brake clearance issues other then the Bonspeeds have the fill valve "behind" the spokes so I have to go with a shorter valve.

Just depends on the 17, I really wanted the Year One RallyII replicas, but turns out they do not have that much room on the inside

The issue with with brake clearance wouldn't be a matter of bolt pattern, either they will clear or they won't. I would personally stick to the same bolt pattern all the way around, but I've heard of it being done before.

Well that, and the GM brake rotor would have to be drilled for the Ford pattern. I think I'm just going to stick with the same GM pattern all around. I'll either get the axles re-drilled or buy new ones. Thanks
