Has anyone had any experience with US mag wheels? Looks like they have a nice 18" pontiac rallyII type wheel in cast aluminum.

Here's an eBay link to them: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=271156220281&cmd=VISPEC

I like them. I wish they made an 18x10 at the very least because I wouldn't mind having something like this a street wheel.

Looks like they make them in 18x9, I may just have to see about picking up a set

They're an MHT brand. I've had several of their brands(Foose, DUB, Neeper) in the past and have always been happy with the quality.

Thanks for the input, I'm thinking about ordering them in the next few days. I'll let you know how it goes

I don't like to spend other peoples money, but you know it comes in 2 piece forged too?

I had no idea, but budget is tight right now anyways.

I think they would be killer if there is a 10 inch rear!

I guess you could widen them down the road. I have always wanted a set of rally 2 in a bigger diameter for my 74 Firebird.

I'm going to pick up a set of them as soon as I figure out how big a rim is needed for a 255 or 275 width tire.

I am thinking about grabbing a set too. Would probably have weldcraft widen the back set by 2 inches. I just need to figure out if I can live with a rear tire with that much backspace as it would put the BS close to 7 inches.

These wheels come in other widths, you can get a 18X10.

Look at the post from "blue goats". He is running them on a 69 GTO. http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519051&page=7

You can only get the 18x10 in the 2-piece Forged wheels, not the one-piece cast. Not exactly in my budget for an extra inch. I will probably be getting a set of these in the next couple years. Gotta finish building the car before I can worry about a new set of wheels. Affording a pro-touring build is tough when you're in Grad-school.

That is the truth, I found this site during med school and bought my car in residency and I just now have the income to make slow progress.

You're not just paying for the extra inch though, Forged is going to be much stronger than cast. Either way, widening would run @ $200 per wheel.

So has anyone actually bit the bullet and ordered these?

A while ago. There's a lot of guys on transamcountry.com who've posted pics in the wheel/tire/stance thread.

Thinking of these for my 70 GTO, but in 17x9 size. Sorry guys but I'm old school and still like to see more tire and less wheel. Whats max tire width for 9's?

I wanted a factory look on my 68 Bird.
I bought American Racing 500's and added PMD and black center lug nuts.

I have the same setup on my car. It looks money just creates a few issues when you try to slam the front end without playing with the inner fenders.

I've had the 18 x 9 Bandits and 275/40R18 Nitto NT 555's on my 72 Esprit for over 10 months now- a great improvement over the 15" rally IIs in grip, handling and looks. I bought the wheels primarily so I could still still drive the car while upgrading the suspension- the 1-piece cast wheels are heavy, but will be more than fine for the street.
