Im interested in the Fays2 Watts link for the 68-72 Chevelle, but not sure if its worth the price. Is anyone out there using, and if so how do you like it? What are the differences with and with out the link? Is it somoething you can do without or regret buying? I want to hear from someone thats using it. Most people explain how it works and what it does, but are not running it. And if they are running it, they are using it on a newer type mustang. Im talking to the A bodys on this one.
Thanks
James

I am running one on my 65 Nova. From what I can till you is it really let me get the car where I wanted it and handles great i can throw it into the corners without the fear of anything letting loose really keeps the tires planted.

Let me know what you come up with, my setup doesn't really allow for a sway bar right now so I'm interested in one too

Why is it not set up for a rear sway bar?

A Watts link has a totally different purpose than a sway bar.

try to pm jon(roadbuster) he has one on a orange 68 gto.one thing it worked well with is he's running an 11" rear rim with 315 35 18 tires,no frame mods or mini tubs just a little massage to some areas on the inner wheel house and it help with not letting his tires rub,but you do need to make a tank for the watts or use a nova tank, which im modding now for my watts i made from scratch from looking at jons.the nova tank is not as deep as the stock abody tank.phil

hmmm had one in my 69 camaro and it made the car handle wayyyyy better. when i was hitting a bump the rear was starting to swing slight left right which gave you a awkward and not so safe feeling and the same on fast short turns and that was all gone with the fays2. worth the Money and would buy it again? definitely yes! the only turndown is the Routing of the exhaust if you want rear exit and that took me some time and welding to get the 3" stainless exhaust around and not bumbing anywhere and i´m running only 255 tires in the back so there´s lot more Routing space back there.

I was going to run the exhaust under the rear and mount it to the frame of the watts link!

Tim, nice idea but it won't work since the lower link and propeller will be in the way on the right side. Unless you want to hang the exhaust really low and it will already be low enough when you mount it nearly direct to the W.L. frame.

tough to route on passenger side, driver is pretty easy cause the arm is Mount low to the leaf perch but the passenger goes right on the upper side almost all the way over to the leaf mount. Need to check if i got some better Pictures but i bet here´s People with nicer built cars and not rotten like mine :smoke:

Tons of vintage roadracers (especially Mustangs) use them. Just Google...
