Anyone know where I can get some Lizard Skin at a decent price? I was trying to get the sound deading one so I can spray my quarters and roof before I weld them onto the car next week. Summit has the 2 gallon for like 158.

don't get lizard skin, its just marked up same stuff. its like apple vs a toshiba.

the fool buys apple because of marketing.

go get some quietcoat, 59$ a gallon, better than lizard skin. They put it on 100 million dollar mega yachts...

I've used the old school Mac's but not the new ones where I could get 4 toshiba's for that price lol. I still love my Ipad, Ipod, Iphone, my older Ipod though

QuietCar says "the thicker you apply it, the more sound is absorbed...".

What is a recommended thickness of these "spray on" (Lizard Skin, or otherwise) applications, to be a noticeable improvement for a vehicle?
I don't want a 6" thick 1/4 panel, just to reduce trunk sound!
How much would be needed to do 1 complete car (roof interior, inner doors, inner/outer floorboards, trunk interior)?

It said 40 mills, which is a lil thinner than 1/16". If you use the ceramic insulation ontop of the sound control then it's a lil over a 1/16. I got 2gallons and think it would be plenty to coat the inside of the car. As for the outside, I don't think I'm going to apply it. The sound control is too soft to me be applied outside maybe the ceramic insulation gets rock hard but the sound control lizard skin isn't to me. I'm probably going to bedline the undercarriage to be on the safe side

Has any one actually brushed or rolled this on looking for how it came out without having to spray

I assume it'll have the same appearance as a roll on bed liner. I'll have to look through the instructions again to see the procedure for rolling or brushing
